According to estimates, the total expected capacity of methanol production in the following 10-years period including plants with the final product of methanol and plants that use methanol as a intermediate product will be about 40.292 million tons. The majority of Iran's methanol export market is relatively exclusively exported to China. considering the lack of diversity in Iran's methanol export goals, there will be a serious market risk for Iran's methanol and this issue practically weakens the economy of methanol projects in terms of production level and downward price competition. In this applied research, in order to provide a solution for this challenge, the solution for changing the use of methanol and converting it to gasoline during the MTG process. Such an approach overshadows the challenge of gasoline imbalance in the country, which will become more visible in the coming years and in a way, it is considered a dual solution to solve the problems of these two areas. The results suggest that considering the current methanol prices and product portfolio, this project does not have suitable economic results. The economic sensitivity analysis shows that in the increasing trends of oil prices, the economy of this project has improved.
