Gas injection is a method considered part of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques. This method is utilized to prevent the decline in oil pressure, stabilize it, and increase the volume and pressure of the fluid within the reservoir, thereby stabilizing the oil extraction rate over time. The problem is simulated using the MATLAB software over a forty-year period from 2002 to 2041 for one of the oil fields located in the southern part of the country (Iran). Given the results, it is argued that with an increase in the discount rate, the profit from oil sales during the studied period decreases, while an increase in crude oil prices leads to an increase in the profit from oil sales. Furthermore, with a daily injection of 90 million cubic meters of gas over the aforementioned period, an additional volume of 2,760 million barrels of crude oil will be added to the recoverable reserves of the field, translating to an annual increment of 69 million barrels.
